Kent: We hired robots to do this one. Seriously, it has to be the most robotic sounding song we ever recorded, including the metronome intro. We somehow managed to create a wall of sound using mostly a tiny Casio sampler that had about a three octave range.
And the sluggish, but reliable, sounding rhythm track was actually a pre-programmed Synsonics electronic drum pattern recorded fast then slowed down to create a more thunderous, echo-y effect – like John Bonham on Quaaludes.
